We all like including our little or big pals on a Christmas day treat – however most of the things we like to eat, like Christmas pudding with raisins and alcohol, chocolate and pork crackling are definitely not good for our little buddies! Whilst cats aren’t big fans of sweet food i.e. they’d rather have a chomp on a slice of lean roast beef, here’s a ‘dessert’ that’s safe to feed your dog!

Ingredients:

  • Fresh banana
  • Fresh Mango
  • 1 tablespoon plain yoghurt or cottage cheese
  • Peanut Butter

Method:

Mash banana and mango in a bowl, add the yoghurt or cottage cheese and mix well. Spoon into a Kong or freezer-safe container – remember to fill the end little hole in the kong with a blob of peanut butter – and freeze for 4 hours. Serve outdoors to a very happy pooch!

Remember: this is a treat, so an occasional offering and as always, if your individual pet has an allergy to one of the ingredients, don’t feed it…

Merry Christmas!
